PCKC Visit to Rochambeau Library

The Education Committee of PCKC will visit the Rochambeau Library on April 11th at 5:30 PM. Education Chair John Fitzgerald will lead us in a presentation oriented toward children in the Community Room. The library is located at 708 Hope Street, Providence, RI 02906, just south of the intersection of Hope Street and Rochambeau Avenue.

While your dog does not have to be a registered therapy dog to take part in this activity, it needs to be able to be calm in a group setting with children and other dogs. It should be well housebroken and clean. We recommend CGC or better testing for any dog that will be brought into a communal visit situation.

Please bring information about the history and purpose of your breed. You can present the material or if you prefer, either John or someone else will handle talking about your breed if you would rather not speak to the group. You will have a chance to show off your dog and perhaps do a trick or two in front of the group. If appropriate, you can mingle with the children with your dog near the end of the visit.

Please do not participate if you have not been vaccinated. Please stay home if you or your dog have an elevated temperature or any other signs of sickness.
